Me, going into Burger King: I'd like a small soda.

Clerk: I'm sorry, we only have medium and large.

Me: I want the smallest you have.

Clerk: That would be a medium. 

Me: How can you have a medium when it's the smallest you have? Wouldn't that make the medium a small? 

Clerk: No, sir. It's a medium. 

Me: But medium is between small and large. If you only offer two, one is small and the other is large. 

Clerk: No, we only have medium and large.

Me: OK. I'll take a Tall.

Clerk: ??

I like Starbucks sizes, tall, grande and vente.  Tall is the smallest...of course.

This is all so confusing!! At our Smoky Mountain Brewery, they make the beer right there. They have Pony glasses, standard Ale size and regular. But you can get a double-size. What is this small, medium and large stuff??

THEN, if you order a freshly made mixed drink, there is the Classic Sips menu, Premium Sips and wine and bourbons and all sorts of sizes.

Me 2!! They are for sampling. They offer a 'taste' of the brewmaster's work at an affordable price. Not for me - I want a Tony Size, not a Pony Size. Thank you - thank you very much. Tip your waitress; not a horse.

@perrone1 I daresay if they offered a Tony size there would be a stampede to the bar!  I would like to add that being from a farming childhood I only tip cows.

@jack-dodds LOL! Too true. At our Mexican restaurant, Cancun, they have a regular margarita size glass, a large, then a 'Jumbo; and 'The Monster'. Only once have I finished the Monster. It's roughly two Jumbo's.   Madone!

@perrone1 Yikes!  I hope they don't salt the glass of the Monster....recipe for a major blood pressure spike!

I had to stop and think for a second. They do salt the rim if you don't ask them not to. I brush a spot off where I drink from the glass. I take enough HBP meds - don't want any more.
