'58 or '60 Oldsmobile?

While neither is a favourite, I do prefer the lines of the 1960.

Both of these years are IMHO not particularly good ones for Oldsmobile. I do prefer the '60 by far to the overly chromed and chunky '58. Having said this though, I do appreciate seeing the '58 Olds (and Buick) at car shows as they certainly do represent the "excess years" of automotive styling. They are attention getters!

What amazes me Bruce is the drastic yearly design changes in the Olds and Buick from '56 thru '59.

I went with the 58. I do like those dual headlights over the grille similar to other GMs from 58.

I chose the '60 over the '58, although I'd be happy with either. I find it interesting how much design changed over a two-year period. Just two years later the most beautiful full-size Olds ever produced would be gracing our highways and byways. Of course, that's just my opinion!

I'm not a big fan of either, but I'm far less of a fan of the 1958...I'm being polite.
Same response from me, but in REVERSE! As most know here on the Forum, I'm a huge Oldsmobile lover, but I find the '60 styling to be the most disappointing of any year before it or after.

These two years of OLDSMOBILE are polar opposites in styling.
The '58 is (at least to my eyes) positively drop-dead gorgeous from bumper to bumper and the dashboard too. The '60 on the other hand borders on bland from bumper to bumper and the dashboard too.
