HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
With each new day, I continue to learn and appreciate how important each one of them is. The old saying is, "Live each day to its fullest, as if it were your last", and those are words that are so true. Over these last three years, all of us have been tested and tested again with the pandemic and just life's trials in general. We've all had to learn to be patient and resilient many times over. We've had make changes and except changes, bottom line, it is difficult for all of us.
Three years ago when the pandemic hit, you may recall that Lorraine faced her most ferocious battle with her cancer. It taught us both us, that life is so precious and indeed we're only promised one day at a time.

As 2021 dawned and we got the words "Remission" with regard to her cancer, we both shed happy and grateful tears while holding each others hands. We are and always will be there for each other. It's an honor and obligation that I/we accept with grace and honor. I will always be here for her. Period.
This past Friday (April 7th) I woke up with a most strange sensation. I couldn't walk in a straight line and was literally being pulled to the left. Luckily there was a wall that I was able to bounce off of, or I'd surely fallen to the floor. Waking Lorraine, neither of us knew what was wrong, but we knew that something was wrong.

Below is Lorraine's story of my condition:
"George had a balance issue Friday morning. He was being "pulled" to the left as he walked down the hall at home. It seemed to get better but we went to the Walk in Clinic...where they were thinking he might have had a mini stroke.
They sent us to the ER. The did numerous tests, which he did well. They had him stay overnight for Observation...unfortunately he got a horrendous migraine from not eating and was very sick Friday night.
He got better as the day progressed on Saturday. We talked to the Doctor and the Catscan, EKG, and Echocardiogram, and MRI looked good. He was treated as having a mini stroke. A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is a temporary period of symptoms similar to those of a stroke. A TIA usually lasts only a few minutes and doesn't cause permanent damage.
The threat is that a TIA could happen BEFORE another stroke (within a couple months), so they want him to do a baby aspirin and Plavix for 90 days and then a full aspirin after that with follow-up after this time.
He was in the hospital from Friday through this afternoon (Easter Sunday). He is doing good, napping, eating, passed all the speech & physical therapy evaluations".

Needless to say friends, I'm home and I'm feeling so blessed that this minor issue was caught in time. Hearing that all the tests came back good, made me tear up like those words "Remission" I'd heard for Lorraine.
She took care of me this weekend and I will always do the same for her. We continue to want our FOREVER to be FOREVER together.
Moral of this message is never take any day for granted and always tell those that are special to you that you love them. Do it often.

Yes indeed HAPPY EASTER!

I was wondering where you were George, glad to hear of the positive outcome after what was clearly a nasty shock. All the best.

Excellent news. Sometimes close calls like this remind us of how fragile and precious life can be.

You are so right John.  And believe me, both my wife and I have been reminded of this a lot over the last three years.  Thank you AND EVERYONE on this Forum who have extended well wishes.  Though I've not met any of you personally, know that our love of cars and our conversations here on the Forums, in my opinion make us family.  Much love and appreciation to ALL OF YOU!
