Both the earlier design and the following Nova style looked excellent especially when they were equipped with a strong V-8. I have a 1/18 car of each type.
I had heard the old story that the Nova didn't sell as well in Central/South America because the name "no va" meant "no go" in Spanish !

Yes Mike, I heard that very same thing.
@jack-dodds. I understand completely and agree. But, the original GTO, for several years, was little more than a dressed-up LeMans. In some ways, this '74 is true to its roots! 🤗

I guess that's true JK but to my eye it's a major visual step down from the very aggressive looking Goats of the late 60s.
Back to the earlier topic....here's my fave Nova...the '67.
@jack-dodds The '67's are my favorites as well. And some of the resto-rods made from them are positively worshipable!
I also thought GM nailed it on the '67s, some of the best-looking cars from the General that year.
