DRESSING UP
A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the trash, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

Years ago when I was working, my jobs were always in sales and as such required getting dressed up every day. Today the weddings and funerals apply.

Except for the dearly departed and his immediate family, I do not see too many men wearing suits for funerals.DRESSING UP

@sizedoesmatter Same here. It's generally casual dress anymore. I rarely see folks dress up for church as well. It's mostly casual too.😊

Anyone need about 3000 well-worn ties? I had to wear a suit & tie for grade school (a private school), same for high school and college (also private schools). Army uniform until 1968 then 45 years in the insurance industry. I retired and haven't worn a suit or tie since! And everyone above is correct, dress casual for funerals is in vogue currently.
But, YES! The wife gets dolled up for over an hour to make a 10 minute trip to the dollar store.

You remember, of course Ed, my mentioning that I lived a couple minutes from you many years back, in Palm Harbor. So I happen to know that it is against the law, in Dunedin, to wear a suit! HA!
