It's a great commercial which brings back some memories. Today, it would probably be $ 2,900 for Earl Scheib to paint one's automobile !

Not only do I remember the commercials for The $29. car painting, I recall seeing a few. Door jambs are extra, the trunk lid edges and hood gaps are not painted and the finish itself leaves a lot to be desired, But it IS cheap.

I know this is nostalgic. But, back in the day, whenever I saw one of these specials in person, I would say to myself, "That's way too much for this type of work!"
Scheib's could lay down the paint well if you prepped the car and prepared the surfaces. If you went for their top package, which was pretty decent and included door jams, under the hood and trunk, proper masking, etc., it was about $250, if I remember correctly.
