Sounds good enough to eat. If it were me, I would have chicken parmigiana with a side of linguine and a salad dressed with oil and vinegar.

It's not what it looks like. The lady is giving a dinner party for 20 guests and is just checking the savoury dip is properly seasoned before dishing out the food to the assembled company.
See, one mustn't jump to conclusions based on appearances.

I don't know if she actually needs to "plan" to eat, it's just instinctive behaviour. However, I think anyone making such a determined and sustained attempt to combat their inner anorexic tendencies should be applauded and offered every encouragement.
Perhaps crowd-funding support to top up her KFC account would help relieve the financial strain on her resources.
