Please excuse my "pics of film" - taken from a TV screen, but I have never seen these aftermarket or factory (? ) Corvette bumper guards (? ) before.   Have you?  🤔 🤨 🤔 🤨

What a desecration of a beautiful car. Yeah, looks like one-off owner bolt-on. Initially looks like two different cars but I think the license plates may be the same.

Looks like they are home made bumper guards. Not sure they offer any reasonable protection. If the owner is so concerned about minor parking mishaps, then leave the Vette at home and take the daily driver.

No, it's the same car, same plates....  blame the body color differences of this 1965 B-movie's poor black & white film stock; shadows & light did not help matters.  😫

Yep, yep, and yep....   a few others (not on these Forums ) have all said the same.   To each his own - right (his car, his money... ) but why would anyone intentional block their taillights?  😬 😬 😬

Yes, thanks - just what I thought. I say find the owner and shoot the rat. Take his car, repair the damage and bill him, BUT keep the car!  Laugh

...hmm, as a long-time contributing editor to the IMDb (big deal, anyone can be once they're certified  😏) I should investigate this movie a bit further.   Stay tuned, I'll be back ASAP.  🤨 🤨

It appears to be a 1964 convert with auxiliary top. Check out, too, the funky back up lights they put above the license plate.

HA!  I've learned nothing other than a 4-man crew shot this entire B-movie (no surprise  ).    There's zero mention, anywhere, about this Vette's kooky bumpers; therefore, I'm assuming this was an owner inspired one-off creation.

I suppose a Corvette Forum could confirm something.....

@jkuvakas I totally agree. A lack of taste I'd say.

Good eye Tony!   Yes, I see it now.  😬 😬     Could this be an ultra-rare 1964 Corvette "safety package"  option?   Here's a few more pics...

@bob-jackman Hey Bob, you have a '61 Vette.....

Tony noticed an "extra light"  above the rear license plate, and I just included a better pic of that front "guard,"  are YOU aware of any rare "safety package option"  for '63 -'64 Vettes?
