I know the '58 OLDSMOBILE isn't everyone's cat's meow, but it will always be a favorite of mine.  It bleeds chrome, fins, and power for the era!

I'm not a fan of the styling of Olds and Buick for 1958 but I will say they sure make a statement!  I do still enjoy seeing them at car shows though.

I didn't used to care much for these. They've grown on me over the years. I really like them now. Thanks George. 💯😊

I think both the Buick and Oldsmobile for 1958 were beautiful and very impressive automobiles. A neighbor of ours had a new gleaming black 1958 Oldsmobile. When I was in kindergarten, I would hear it warming up in their driveway on cold mornings.

That is a beautiful car and one I really like. I'll be in the minority, but I prefer it to the '57.

@michaeldetorrice This is one automobile that the mints definitely should have done, and exactly like the ultra fine ninety eight George has pictured!

I think the '58 Oldsmobile's FINS make the fins on the '59 Cadillac almost look tame.  Smile

Oh how often I've wished that the mints would have given us this '58 Olds.  I'd have been all over it like stink on a monkey.

I love it! Over the top styling with everything to excess. A 1/24 would have been brilliant.

I'm a longtime fan of the GM lineup for 1958.

That's a beautiful 1958 Oldsmobile, replace those modern radials with period-correct bias-ply tires, and this car would be perfect.    Although it would ride much worse! 🤣 🤣

Sadly, Precision Miniatures went out of business BEFORE they could produce their promised '58 Olds in 1/18 scale (seen here on their promotion board from a hobby trade show 20 years ago ).

No.... the '59 Cadillac remains as the undefeated champ!      In fact, '58 Oldsmobiles don't really have fins but rather exaggerated, over-blown  taillights with tiny fin toppers.
