Some are tricksy! And some, if you can believe it, open the OTHER way!
I've heard that some have the engine in the back and the hood is back there - but I don't believe it!
@perrone1 Your right Tony, some are tricky even on the same brand. The 1962 Thunderbird had a inside hood release while the 1963 was outside. Seems to me that it was change just for the sake of change.
Yeah, the whole front of the package opens to display the box's contents. If that is an Isetta; I drove one a long, long time ago. It scared me to death every time I passed a car or they passed me.
Bob, or it could be the bean counters were trying to save $1.79.@perrone1 Your right Tony, some are tricky even on the same brand. The 1962 Thunderbird had a inside hood release while the 1963 was outside. Seems to me that it was change just for the sake of change.

@perrone1 LOL. What I recall most about the Isettas in my town (late 50s...early 60s) was the oil smoke trailing behind them. They were a sales flop here....VW and Renault Dauphine ate them up.

A close friend at the time, Joel Tzerling's father, owned an upscale used car sales place. He seemed to gravitate to foreign and outlandish models. Jody and I drove them around the large lot and when asked, moved them from place to place. Fun experience for us.
