Sadly, the Oldsmobile (far left ) was clipped. Whenever I see photos like this I immediately think of just two words: Harley Earl. He loved models of all scales... and if he wanted something built.... IT WAS BUILT!

A great display of General Motors real and dream cars. All look exceptionally nice and GM was truly on top of the automotive world !

Never understood why the Firebird prototypes were built because they were never intended for production. I do have models of them though.

Like practically every prototype..... vehicles such as this are constructed more to prove-out technology and or gage public opinion (tastes ).... and let's not forget Harley Earl, who got whatever he desired - whether it made sense to do it or not. 😏 😉
