I always thought that all GOLD 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air was pretty cool, but how GM could lose track of it AND the two "sister cars" is beyond me. Anyway.... this tribute car was created.... and man-oh-man... I like it!
It's a beauty ! My Dad had a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air coupe in a standard dark grey over coral color scheme.
Never a fan of the GM 50 million car...to me it just doesn't look correct in the gold color. Back in the early '60s I did have a '55 210 2-dr post, it looked like this...

@sizedoesmatter The 55 is my favorite of the tri five Chevys John. Was yours a six or eight?
@michaeldetorrice Mike, I love that color combination and have examples of it in 1/24 and 1/43 scales.

Bob, mine was a six. I was planning on a 327 conversion but it was stolen and stripped before that happened. Gotta love the mean streets of NYC.

@sizedoesmatter John, that is so true. I remember just driving down the belt parkway and you would see a car on the side of the highway that was just stripped, and I mean everything. You never knew if you came out of a store if your car was even going to be there, especially if it was something special.
@bob-jackman Bob, I have to agree the 55 was the best out of the three years.
For many years the '55's were my favorite too.... but the older I get the more I've come to appreciate the '57's (the most popular tri-five ).
Yes, but my '55 was found flat on the ground and all the glass was smashed...not a pretty sight.@sizedoesmatter Sorry to hear that John. **** happens. 😒 😒 😒

My '55 was found in a vacant lot in East New York...good old Brooklyn.@sizedoesmatter John, that is so true. The '55 Chevy Bel-Air HT is my favorite car of its class....period; although I love the post too. I would love to get an excellent "driver" one day.
My two favorite color combos for this car was Glacier Blue Iridescent/Skyline Blue and Coral/Shadow Gray.
