Hey guys, I'm back. We survived the huricane but lost our power for 5 days. We are about 120 miles from the coast (Wilmington, NC) and had wind gusts up to 45mph and rain (about 6-8 inches). In addition, the modem on my computer had to be replaced. The folks in Fayetteville, NC got hammered along with those living in Lumberton, NC on interstate 95. There, almost the entire town was under water, not to mention many of the towns east of Interstate 95 to the coast. My wife and I count our blessings...we were spared, with only minimal damage.
That was a brutal storm. Glad you made it through okay.
Good for you, Ken. I just hope we can get the results cleaned up asap. Welcome back!
Glad you're okay. We stayed in Lumberton on our way home about 3 weeks before.
We just happened to pick it for our last over night stay. How strange to see the hotel in drone footage shortly after.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Good to hear that you're ok.
Great to have you back and glad there was nothing worse.
We are having a large storm for this part of the country. Have had winds with gusts at our place at 60 MPH and a lot of heavy rain.
It is still very breezy and raining a little this Sunday morning but the worst has passed for now.
Stay safe.
