They survived that long because no sane organism wants to eat them. Now if you make it into a peanut butter and jellyfish sandwich  -  you still wouldn't eat it  - it's a no brainer!!

@perrone1 I think you will agree Tony that although they are tasty looking they are far too chewy and salty; one sample was enough for me.

Just wondering if the figure of 650 million years refers to the remarkable longevity of brainless individuals (which would give many of us folks here great hope for the future), or to the species as a whole?
