Two cool cars. My cousin had the Fury back in the day and we loved it for cruisin'. But that Chevy Impala, especially in this color combo, is wicked cool. My vote.

Impala lost some of its looks (flat grille) in 64 but still pretty cool. 😎

John, you are really making this tough with your choices.  I had to go with a tie as I love the 64 Chevy, but being a Mopar fan of the 60's and 70's, I could not go either way.

Thanks for this great comparison John.  For me it is almost a tie; I love both cars as convertibles but especially in 2drht HT form (below).  The Chevy gets some criticism for its somewhat "squarish" styling compared to previous years but I still really like the look.  Come to think of it I don't recall a poorly styled Chevy in the 60s.  IMHO the best looking full size Plymouths of this decade were this '64 and the '65 Fury; they both are crisply designed with great drive train options.  Both cars have awesome looking interiors.  I give the nod today to the Chevy Impala by a very narrow margin but would be pleased to have either car in my garage.

1964 was a great year for the "Low priced three"... I considered including the Ford to the mix but I felt it was difficult enough picking from two.

I quite like both of these. Currently I have a slight bias in favour of the Chevrolet. Tomorrow, who knows.

'64 Impala my favorite '60's Chevy, followed by the '62, then the '61. No interest in other '60's Chevys.

Plymouth, the '64 was the first year in the '60's that Plymouth looked decent, but still not really good yet.

In '64 I would have bought;

64 Grand Prix  (1)
64 Grand Prix  (2)
64 Grand Prix  (3)

From my opinion perch, I'm not a fan of either Chevy or Plymouth for 1964.  I vote "Sorry, no interest in this selection".  Both would return to beautiful in 1965.

By '64 Plymouth had erased any remnants of the awful '62 styling, but was still deficient in size compared to the Chevy. I voted for the Chevy.

Love both...sentiment wins, so it's the Chevrolet for me.

Gents, thanks for the pics and responses.
