I very well remember visiting grandma each summer. She lived near the ocean and we stayed at her house - a million of us cousins, in the attic on cots. At the end of a long pier was a general merchandise store and he sold penny candy; some 2 for a penny! And on Saturday's a quarter got you into the movies to see the serial westerns and two movies. Popcorn and a drink was another $0.20. Ahh, life was simple and good.

Oh, I take that back, there is one supermarket chain that's selling shopping carts for a quarter. 😀In today's world we can't by anything for a quarter.

John, I think you can still get a piece of bubble gum out of the turnstile machines for a quarter. That's if you can still find one.
