@kevins When I heard this years ago I immediately downloaded it to my collection. This version and the original are the best renditions you'll ever hear.
Thanks everyone 👍 That sure was nice to read all your responses. Tony, I'm not so sure about your suggestion about my love of "big band". My Dad & Mom were born in '33 & '35 so they'd have been "knee high to a grasshopper". There's just something about all those brass instruments belting out the sounds they did.
@chris I agree Chris, although years ago I was looking for CD’s to help me relax and Annie Lennox’s album “Medusa” was suggested. I love her voice and very mellow rendition.
great post guys. Anything 60s to 80s for me.
Steve back in the 90s Harry Connick Jr was playing at a 2700 seat venue I was managing. Sure he's not original swing but could his band belt em out! Loved every minute I got the chance to see and hear. I also recall Mr Connick Jr was a little bit 'precious'.One thing that puzzles me is the love I have for "swing / big band".
Thank-you Geoff,
I've heard of him but haven't really "heard" him. Guess I'll soon be busy !
