Intermediate or Mid-size American Cars

1966 the year my taste went from full-size cars to mid-size.  The ones that did it for me.

Dodge Charger 

Plymouth Barracuda

Chrysler 300

Imperial

Buick Electra 225

I agree, I owned a Chevelle Malabu SS Convertible. Wonderful memories. The intermediates suited me well.

My first new car was a 1966 Buick Skylark GS 400. I considered the intermediate sized cars perfect.

Mid-size cars really turned my head in 1964; the GTO, Chevelle SS, Fairlane, Comet, Olds Cutlass/F-85, Skylark, etc. were awesome.  I must agree though that in 66 the engine/drive train options kicked it up a notch or 2.
