I agree Galen. I love these nostalgic photos. It seems like simpler times to us, but probably not so to them.
No masks. I'm thinking those might have been the good old days but I'm guessing none of them lived to see them. The bald tires on the car being painted is an indication that maybe these weren't the good old days.
What not to do when painting a car. I guess dust and dirt contaminating the fresh paint and overspray were not issues back then.

HA! Men were painting cars in OEM factories into the early 1960's WITHOUT wearing mask protection of any kind. Masks were available but FEW painters wore them because MANY claimed, "If I wear a mask to paint cars, then I can't smoke my cigarettes!"
How any of those dudes survived past 60 I'll never know! 😬 😬 😬 😬
Were I the owner of the car in the center, I'd replace my tires before having my car painted Candy Apple Red with Ghost Flames!!
