Not a reformed sinner but a re-formed sinner?

@geno Well, to be honest, I was just being facetious. As usual. (Noble sentiments aren't really my thing).

I wouldn't trust the libation in a place where the owner doesn't drink his own product! Zero alcohol drinks have really taken off - beer initially but a lot of other alcoholic beverages have followed suit. Some of the zero alcohol beers are REALLY good. Lower carbs and calories in some as well.

I'm partial to Peroni 0.0% as it tastes as good as the regular beer.

Spelled different but still part of the original Perrone name. They moved to Rome on the mainland while the originals stayed in Sicilia; Palermo south to Corleone.

LOL! I get it; the Godfather puppet on a string reference. But it's true. Granddad, Francesco Perrone moved his bride, Maria Genovese, from Messina to Palermo and they had the first three of 9 children. The family was equally settled between Corleone and Palermo. In 1912, granddad and my father, his first born son, sailed to America. Americanized, they sent for the womenfolk, grandma and two girls. Six more were born in the US including 4 more males and all 5 of the men served for the US in WWII.

HA! When Luigi gets there, just tell him to turn around and go home. But just in case he doesn't believe you, give him this code: "No Whacka!"  Laughing Out Loud

One of our friends is a US expat from Brooklyn, who is is also first generation US from Sicily.  As an aside, my favorite street cop is Salvo Montalbano and if any members have missed this series - Montalbano (in its original Italian language), run to your video shop and get the series, including Young Montalbano series.
