@georgeschire. Awesome! I would have loved a tour like that.

I went twice as a kid with my Dad in the later 1960's and then once with my wife in 1974.  The latter visit was when they'd converted the plant over to only producing Ford trucks.  Start to finish, the walk through for the tour was a visual education on the whole assembly process.  In he later 1970's the plant was closed as Ford left the Twin Cities.  For years the plant stood abandoned and then was finally torn down.  Much of the land it was on is still void of any buildings, but there have some housing going in there in recent years.

Did they really make that many '58 GREEN Edsel 2 door hardtops at any one time?

@brush Edsel production was north of 63,000 units in 1958, so yeah....    they made that many 2-dr hardtop Pacer models.

As far as "green,"  well, who knows?   I'm pretty certain this photo was originally taken in black & white - but has been colorized in several different hues  over the years.

Here they ALL are in blue.  😀 😀
