@perrone1 LOL !! Good luck......lotta planning required. Make sure you have your martini fixin's on hand to get you through this nightmare. And I'm sorry for calling you Lotta.
No dummy, this one. I have long kept the refrig, down there, stocked with olives and vermouth and a secret stash of Bombay Sapphire. Glasses in the freezer. As long as I keep the TV low, the laughter lower, 'she' is oblivious!
Hey now....I admit I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but c'mon; I am a member of Think Tanked so calling me "dummy" is a bit harsh isn't it? That aside, your preparation for domestic emergencies is very impressive and I think I know where you may have learned such a skill!
@jack-dodds LOL! Misunderstanding - I was referencing myself, stating that this one (me) was no dummy. I was the one who stocked the basement with goodies for just this scenario. And, yes, honest to goodness, I was a Boy Scout. (Before it became Scouts of America).
I enjoyed my time in the Boy Scouts in Depew, NY. We all used to play "Combat". Each one of us watched every week and the woods started at the end of the street I lived on at 86 Green Terrace. Great memories !

We were older so for us as kids we played the good old cowboys and Indians........oh sorry.....I guess in these sensitive times it would be cowpersons or cownouns and First Nations or aboriginals...or whatever.....egad!
Well Jack I'm not sure how old you are but I just had my 71st birthday last week so I don't know who's older here. And my Scouts years would have been bout '61-64 if my memory is serving me correctly tonight 🤔
Steve
@100ford2003 I was 72 in April Steve...so we're close.
I was a cub scout and then a boy scout. Looking back on my scouting days, I'm thinking I probably was not the guy that the scouting organization would not have used as an example to promote scouting. One example comes to mind during a camping trip when my best friend and I pitched our tent in a bed of poison ivy after having been given a lecture what not to do on a camping trip. That was the last time I camped out and I am now 84.
@bob-jackman Lol.....that must have been nasty! Did they give out merit badges for surviving such a thing?
