BYD has produced the fastest production car in history. Their Yangwang U9 Extreme tops out at almost 309 mph.  This supercar/hypercar is an all-electric vehicle that (and here's what I think is truly remarkable ) costs $3.6 million LESS than the Bugatti Chiron BUT can travel almost 4 mph faster!

So.... would you rather spend $230,000 and go 309 mph?

- OR -

...spend almost $3.9 million and go 305 mph?

😏 🤔 😏

BYD will keep production of their Yangwang low at c.30 units.     So, um...  ACT fast if you want to grab their Yangwang!

Yes, but those MPHs are Chinese MPHs. When converted, this car has a top speed of 78 MPH.

@jkuvakas I’m generally known as someone with no fear and in my earlier days sometimes reckless. I think I’m a little more sensible in my old age because I know there is no way I would enter a Chinese made automobile, and if I did on a dare or a goodly amount of money would feel very uncomfortable going over 20 mph. I’m not implying that the Chinese don’t manufacture some fine items, I love my “Mint” models, but I don’t have to trust my life with them.

I'm 85 and that represents the top possible speed I want to go in an automobile. Wow, I just save a pot full of money.

Given the Chinese "long game" that I am convinced they are playing I would NEVER buy an automobile from them.
