Kids do listen John K . . .

While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt.

Apparently, his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a small box and cotton-wool, then dug a hole and made ready for the disposal of the deceased.

The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his father always said: "Glory be unto the Faaather, and unto the Sonnn, and into the hole he goooes."

That is hilarious and not far from the truth for a four year old.

We were headed to church one day our 4 year old daughter was in the back seat.

She was singing one of the songs we sang during the service, "Dance and Celebrate." We were congratulating ourselves on raising her in a healthy environment until she started singing louder. She was actually belting out, "Dancing celery...dancing celery..."

I was never able to sing the song against without the vision of vegetables bouncing along to the tune.

Amazing only one person though enough to respond to this. "into the hole you go." RIP D4C.
