Wait minute…where’s my cell phone? I have to see if they spelled “GOOLGE” right…

Thank heavens I only have a "dumb phone". So I remain fully human and connected to the world around me. And dumb, obviously.

Frank goodness I don't use a cell phone. I love my privacy too much to be that connected.
But Google is watching you.

Cell phones & Alexa are beyond my limited intelligence. But may be the Anunnaki from the planet Nibiru would explain it all.
S**T! I'm half of a computer now......
Interesting.
I literally loathe a cell phone. It fosters impersonal associations that are surface-based and puts users into a hermit-like existence, but still having a (false) connection with the outside world . . . that can be shut out with a click of a button. It creates emotional reliance on a piece of inanimate technology that has become a real appendage to many.
People laugh at me and shake their head when I tell them, "Yes, I have a cell phone, but don't call me on it because I never look at it or answer it." I don't know my cell phone number. I use my mobil phone to take Paypal payments and to find directions. I also will use it for emergencies if necessary. I only text when there is no other alternative. I hate badly connected Zoom doctor appointments that I have to pay for.
For all the benefits it does provide, the negative flip side is over the top and far outweighs the usefulness and purpose of this technology, IMO.
I'll get off my soapbox now.
@kocour Gee, Frank, tell us how your really feel!
I would, but the post would be erased and I would be banned before you had a chance to read it.
