Beautiful rendition
A friend of mine for over 55 years plays just like this
that`s amazing TJ........nothing in the world compares to listening to an artist with just a handful of folks present
on a non-related note,in regards to your past trade, did you ever get the opportunity to visit Bethlehem Steel after it closed down?
Always loved the song & Chet, thanks
Great post. I've always viewed Chet Atkins for his light, carefree reflection: Swedish Rhapsody, Snowbird, One Mint Julep, rather than the heavy introspection of Don McLean - but it works.

growing up.....he was much too country for me to ever listen to....when he collaborated with Mark Knoffler in 1990,I became aware of just what I`d been missing........."eat your broccoli, someday you`ll LIKE it !"......mom was right
@john-barry Excellent ! I came to all this stuff from '50s Rock 'n' Roll : Buddy Holly, Everlys and Presley of course, but the older I get the more I return to country and in particular Tex Mex including Freddy Fender. There is a universality about it that I think your posted video alludes to.

I had forgotten ALL about Freddy Fender....another "copyright-able" voice.....I had one(two) of his songs on a jukebox in a small bar, lifetimes ago....the timber and clarity of his voice is unique
I just looked to see if maybe FF had ever duet-ed with Linda Ronstadt.....no luck there
Nicely done.
