Parallel park that bad boy and take up TWO spaces!
@perrone1 - love large cars, the bigger the better, but it is amazing to realize just how much F&R overhang they used to have - especially in the '70's when curb weights peaked! 😦 😦

Huge, attractive but rode like a battleship with long stopping distances compared to its contemporaries. I only remember seeing one back on the day.
Didn’t we have a Marauder “S-55”?

Look at the rear overhang, imagine if a continental wheel diving platform were added, keep you out of many driveways.
@terryslekar I thought the "S-55" was a special Monterey in the States, while the Marauder and Marauder X-100s were something different. 🤔 🤔
Any Mercury experts out there?

Design: The S-55 featured unique styling elements such as bucket seats, a center console, and a floor-mounted shifter. It was available in two-door hardtop and convertible body styles.
-
Production Years: The S-55 was produced from 1962 to 1963 and then again from 1966 to 1967. During its initial run, it was marketed as a high-performance version of the Monterey.

I think it is a good-looking vehicle and it would be quite an impressive ride. It would make an exceptionally cool replica in any scale. I imagine perhaps Brooklin doing such a car in hardtop coupe and convertible form with a top-up / top-down feature would be excellent.
The Canadian versions of American cars have always intrigued me. I just recently learned that Pontiac had Canadian version of their Ventura, called Acadian. It was basically built on the Chevy Nova body frame.

The 1970 Mercury Meteor Montcalm S33 convertible is a rare Canadian car, with only 95 units produced that year. It featured a blend of luxury and performance, often equipped with powerful V8 engines and unique styling elements.
NO "bigger, the better for me". I've always been content with more the "intermediate" size cars. They've always been more attractive to my eye and I've always enjoyed driving them more.

Funny, I was just watching this on Youtube the other day:
