No offense to anyone who smokes.

Thankfully I've never had to deal with that. Deb, nor I either one have ever smoked. Watching how both my grandmother's suffered horrible from lung cancer was a HUGE deterrent. I generally try to buy models from smoke free environments. I guess I've been pretty lucky so far.😊

Geno, I am with you, but in all my years, I will say that I have probably gotten maybe 3 or 4 models on second hand purchases and I have bought 100's this way,  that had a hint of cigarette smell.  I guess I have been fortunate.  But I fully understand as my entire family (wife and 4 kids) have never smoked.

@carsman1958 I smoked for over 50 years and it caused me to have a massive stoke at age 65. I never tried to quit smoking before that because I felt that I was too hooked. I quit cold turkey and after coming home from the hospital, went through horrible withdrawal for about 3 weeks causing my wife to be subjected to a lot of grief as she helped me get through it. It took about 2 years of therapy to get somewhat functional, and I’m blessed to be probably 80% now after 9 years with massive amounts of help and support from my wife and my doctors. I had to trash most of my work clothing because of the stench. I worked in a steel mill for 38 years and constantly had a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. Thankfully I never smoked in our, or anyone’s house. If you’ve read this far, my point is that I don’t mind offending anyone who still smokes in this day and age when we have the information of how deadly that filthy habit is to your self and to others. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

@kevins What a great inspiration you are.  Glad that you are doing well now.  At one point in my life I was an avid bowler, but I finally gave it up because the cigarette smoke got so bad in the alley's that my eyes were watering and I was have a hard time seeing the pins.  It was a shame, but this was back when no one cared and now you hardly see a bowling alley any more.

@kevins GOOD FOR!   Congrats!       Not to mention what cigarettes cost these days.....   about 8 years ago I sent my wife pics of cartons of cigarettes (displayed behind a locked showcase ) being sold at the grocery store.    I couldn't believe it, $100 a carton, some were a bit more.     OMG!    What are they today, $200 a carton?    😬 😬 😬

@chris I actually work part time at a local ‘Drug Mart’ store (Ohio only), and I’m blown away that people can and do pay the asking prices for smokes. They are still around $10 or $11 per pack, the majority of that being taxes. The government makes way to much money on smokers to think about banning them, even though they are well aware of the dangers. When I was in the Army in the early ‘70’s a carton of smokes cost $2.50 at the PX. We had a ration card for 3 cartons a month to avoid black marketing. I was in Germany for 2 years and the locals would give $20.00 for a carton of Marlboros or Kools. And John, thanks, but I don’t consider myself an inspiration. I’m a total moron who is hoping someone will see this post and stop the insanity! It’s plenty hard to quit but believe me it’s plenty worth it!
