@perrone1 My better quarter calls me a DYNO - cause I'm always spinnin' my wheels!!
Small wonder Tony!
@perrone1 Well....things can get a tad rough as the drinks go down, especially on 2 for 1 Thursdays, but the conversation is always cerebral....what ever that means.
@perrone1 Yes; 50% of of those canvassed felt that happy hour(s) could be a hoot and said the appies were to die for; the other half didn't comment.
Cool old pic. I hated it when they got rid of the Sinclair Dynosaur.
My grandfather featured this brand at his famous truck stop, "Sunnyside", in Clarksville, Arkansas in the 40s and 50s. It was open 24 hours and had a restaurant on site that served authentic handmade hamburgers, steak burgers, malted milk shakes and fruit pies! The truckers loved the place!
@perrone1 I sure miss those old Mom & Pop cafes!
Oh, me too! We had an old Pharmacy & Soda Shoppe here in town when we first moved here from Nashville, 32 years ago. This town dates to 1795 and the apothecary/diner that became the Pharmacy, dated to 1802 I believe. Because of his age and the updated codes to make the place live on, the owner retired and they closed the shoppe.

@perrone1 Beautiful village effect; great to see the retention and restoration of those old buildings. It makes a person smile.
They're keeping the Old Town as historic as possible and it retains the 'feel' of yesterday in a lot of ways. But we're growing and I don't like it. In the early 1990's USA Today named it in the top 10 Best Cities in America. People flocked to town but there was little in the way of new housing, so not much harm was done. A couple of years after, A&E TV did a program on the top 10 Best Cities in the US and, again, it was named. Here they came. We were also named a Halfback city. Many Northern folks migrated over the last 40 years to Florida for the warm weather. But there was an influx of those who missed the change of seasons and towns not so crowded. So many moved halfway back and stayed in Tennessee.
Hey! I'll be-a joining ya!!
