We have a luncheon once a month at the church. I usually try to come up with something creative to take. This month, I'm making these Oatmeal/Bacon/Cranberry cookies with a maple/bourbon glaze. They are amazing!

They sound amazing.
Oatmeal/Bacon/Cranberry
You failed to proofread once again John; instead of "oatmeal/berry/cranberry," you wrote "oatmeal/BACON/cranberry." Cleary, a mistake. 🙄
I can't understand it. I took the very same cookies to our church luncheon and they threw me out!
OK, I left out the Oatmeal/Bacon/Cranberry, maple glaze, and just had the bourbon, but it was still delicious!
@perrone1 You can leave out what you will, but NOT the Oatmeal, Bacon, nor Maple Glaze. Church or not, there'd be no Cookie Heaven for you!

@perrone1, I just shared mine with you. All you have to do is...recopy them.

Well, I had a toasted bacon sandwich for breakfast this morning and that's about it. No oatmeal involved.Or berries.
Incidentally it always amuses me to hear of Americans eating "oatmeal" because for us folks over here the cooked dish is always called "porridge" so I always imagine Americans must be swallowing mouthfuls of raw oatmeal straight from the packet. Spares them the highly complex and time-consuming process of microwaving, I suppose.

@graeme-ogg Graeme; here in Canuckleheadland we also refer to it as porridge....at least in the west. Btw...my compliments on your heart smart breakfast; small wonder you're a cycling phenom in the GMT zone.

And even worse in my southern neck of the woods Graeme. I almost never eat oatmeal, and porridge isn't sold hereabouts. I eat Grits! Can you imagine gathering up enough of these little grit particles to make enough to eat for breakfast. But, Mmmmm, good.
