I'm in too, love the add. Used by our local police force in the 60s

"Studebaker Lark vehicles were used by the Victoria Police, particularly for wireless patrol and traffic control duties in the 1960sThese cars were often equipped with a 4.7-liter (289 cu in) V8 engine, providing good performance for the time."

I've always liked the Lark. Never owned or even drove one but if the opportunity had arisen, it would have made a nice little get-around-town second car.

I like the Lark too. A friend restored a Daytona coupe with the R2 supercharged motor and four speed manual transmission.

@frank Great commercial!  Imagine how much it would cost to air a 2 minute long car commercial on TV these days...lol.  This year Studebaker Lark was my favorite of them all.

The local Shelton, Conn. police dept. bought 4 or 5 Larks with V8 engines, and within a year rolled over 4 of them.  I don't know if the cops were bad drivers or the Lark was prone to rollovers, they looked kinda high and narrow.  Or maybe the twisty hilly roads had something to do with it.

Also used by the DC Metropolitan Police, letters on door were yellow...

dc police studebaker car

and, possibly using this photo, it was modeled by Brooklin (I'm surprised that wasn't mentioned)

of course the department wouldn't pay for the chrome side spears.
