It is simply NOT possible to find a '62 OLDSMOBILE STARFIRE that is not an artistic beauty. My own '62 Starfire will always be my personal favorite car that I've owned. The car or the feeling of it has never been duplicated. For your enjoyment here is a collage of the most beautiful Oldsmobile ever produced.

Thanks for taking the time to post all the pics. Steve

George, I couldn't agree more. This is my favorite part of the car, the leading edge of the front fender and bumper combination:
Thanks George. Every picture is perfect and makes your point.

This one is a twin to mine. I get goose-bumps looking at it. Bumper to bumper, top to bottom including the wheels, it's identical. I've never enjoyed driving any car more than this gorgeous baby. As I said, it's my forever favorite.

Yes George, my "famous" 1/18 parking lot photo features your Olds! 😀 😀 Many collectors agree that 1962 Oldsmobiles were the last "50's cars" Detroit ever made. You'd be hard-pressed to find American cars, after '62, as "glitzy." In many ways, 1962 Starfires were throwbacks - beautiful - but they hark back to a bygone area.
Absolutely agree with you George....most beautiful Olds ever built.
I have that same 1:18 scale diecast 62 Starfire. Though I didn't want to collect 1:18 scale (due to the larger size of course), when I originally saw the model from Yat Ming, I had to have it. Never been sorry I bought it.

Never a debate on that. I'd go a step further and add that I think the 62 Starfire is the best looking car from any of the Big Three for 62.

The only Olds I love. Like the '57 & '63 but LOVE the '62, no interest in the rest of the Oldsmobile's.
@whodeytink I agree Mark. I owned two 62 Starfires and never even thought of putting fender skirts on them.
