@whodeytink I agree Mark. I owned two 62 Starfires and never even thought of putting fender skirts on them.

Bob, I'm with you and Mark on the NO FENDER SKIRTS on a Starfire!

I probably should stay out of this one, I can damn near picture the pitchforks and torches marching up my driveway! To preface my remarks I have to say that I’ve always considered the ‘62 Olds a handsome automobile with very unique styling. Having said that I’d like to give my strong opinion of the best looking and coolest Olds ever, drumroll please, the ‘66 Toronado. I was 14 years old when it came premiered and I was totally blown away, still am!

I agree with kevins. I was ten, and it was such a shock this was an Oldsmobile to me. Great looking car.

Kevins...  I will only agree that the Toronado was unique looking, even a little odd for the day.  But certainly not one of the best looking Oldsmobile's in my opinion.  However, I do have a place in my heart for the Toronado.  I was shocked when I showed up for my drivers training class and the instructor led me to the car I'd be taking it in.  Yup, a 1966 Toronado.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder whether it be cars, houses, spouses, etc. There is no right or wrong.
