Some old cars just have that cohesiveness to the styling bumper to bumper, this Mercury is one of them. The lines and chrome flow beautifully front to back, top to bottom. For the 1954 model year from the Big Three, I rank the Mercury #1 in the looks department.

No problem with Two-Tone paint jobs on this '54 Mercury, or any Fifties car. The Two-Tone colors were some of the draw to them. It was a decade of driving a rainbow on wheels.

I agree! Mercury was the "looker" in the Ford family through the fifties in my opinion. Yes, there were some beautiful Ford's and the '56 Lincoln is drop-dead gorgeous, but overall, Mercury seemed to always be a notch above both in styling.
