A slight steal of John Bono' "Which One?", I'm curious how fellow Loungers rank the styling of the '57 through '61 Cadillacs.

5 Cadillac's

Me?  My attention to Cadillac drew faint after the incredibly royal looking '56.

61 here. beautifully balanced design with just the right amount of fin. Of course the 59 is part of automotive history with its outrageous fins.

Jim Cowens end of year email mentioned their 1/24 61s will be here next year. Thanks George

1959 Cadillac will always be number one with me; I miss mine every day.     There's 1959, then everything else in no particular order.

I gravitate toward the '60. I liked its blend of 1959 flamboyance without the excess of towering fins. To me, the '60 looks more refined.

Ironically George I share your feelings about the 56, also my favorite post war Cadillac is the 62 which means my two favorites just missed this comparison by being one year too early and one year too late. I'll go with the 61 as It's the closest to the 62.

My favourite Cadillacs were all Pre-War. Never took to any of these but the 1956 is to me the best of this bunch. Too big, too soft a wallowy ride.

I'm with you on the '62 as well.  My personal thinking has always been that Cadillac from 1949 to 1955 was getting closer to the perfection of the 1956 every year.  Then when it was reached, GM started from scratch again with the 1957 and got a little crazy with their styling until they again reached the perfection with the 1962.  I will say that like most folks, I like the 1959 only for it's iconic status in American car history.  But I don't like it enough to have ever wanted one.

IMHO, the ‘59 & ‘60 are scrap yard material…

George, 61 for me, and then just go in reverse order.

Never a luxury car fan, they just don't interest me, but there are a couple of exceptions, would not buy any of them. I'm going a little father than George asked for. How I rate Cadillac:

1. 1962 love

2. 1957 series 62 like

3. 1961 alright

4. 1958 alright

5. 1960 no opinion

6. 1959 & 1956 just don't like the styling

"My favourite Cadillacs were all Pre-War."
