Thanks Mike for the great ad. As a twelve year old at the time, the 52 Studebakers were a let down for me after the bullet nosed 50 and 51s but 1953 would turn disappointment into one of the best designed American cars of all times.
Cool Ad...thanks Michael. Notice the black tires, back then not too many cars had whitewalls.

I think I heard that possibly Korean War restrictions on making whitewall tires may have contributed to the blackwall look. Nowadays the look is quite prevalent !
A very scenic spot on a picturesque island off the California coast. Yeah, the Studebaker Commandet was quite capable, but it definitely needed some help getting out there for the ad shot, lol !
LOVE these old ads that you so graciously share with us. That Studie is cool! I'd love to have one today! Thanks Mike!
You are welcome, Tony ! Studebaker was one of the very oldest American vehicle manufacturers before they stopped producing automobiles, as I believe they made horse-drawn wagons before cars came on the scene. Studebaker was a client of my Dad's and our family had a new 1963 Wagoneer station wagon for a time in the early 1960's. Cool car !
It is a real beauty and in a great color here ! You would be on top of the world driving around in this gorgeous drop top automobile.
@michaeldetorrice It's always interesting to me to see the color variations done by Brooklin. Here's a much darker version of the same car:
It was different enough for me to buy both (these are available at low prices on e-Bay).

It is a terrific looking convertible automobile and Studebaker. This one I think would look superb in any color but "clear" !
