That's right ! The sensational new Chrysler Norseman showcar is almost in America and being sent on a big ocean liner from Italy, where it was fabricated. It is a beautiful and futuristic dream automobile and I can hardly wait ! Even now it is just off the coast .......

In it's state in the July, 1956 image there, yes, unfortunately, that is the Andrea Doria along with it's cargo, the Chrysler Norseman.

I remember the event dominating the news. I asked a lot of questions - I was 9. The ship's name stuck in my mind all these years. That and the Stockholm.

It's a shame they just don't make beautiful cars like that anymore. I could see this on a showroom floor for sale today, probably a $75,000 sticker price and then with dealer price gouging adding another 10k.
