I must have watched Dennis Weaver in that movie a dozen times when it came out on video tape.

I ought to get it on DVD.

That movie was terrifying.

@jkuvakas

And unfortunately, at times, so was the acting. But still, I love it!

Duel  was so great in so many ways (lots of rookie errors too ... like two different PBs and Valiants ) that despite being a free "made for TV movie,"  it subsequently became a "not free to see"  theatrical success.   Not many films can make that claim.  😏

Also, around this time, the VERY young Spielberg was directing TV shows, including one of the best Columbos  ever produced - "Murder by the Book."

As big a fan as I am (who isn't, right?  ) I hadn't even known about "Prescription Murder"  until 3 or 4 years ago.    I found it interesting that Link & Levinson lobbied hard for Bing Crosby in that role.   He repeatedly turned them down - "Boys, how could even I consider anything like that?  You want me to leave the golf course?"

HA! I can't imagine anyone but Gene Barry in that role since seeing it so many times.

Peter Falk was perfect for the role.

Duel was indeed scary. I too remember seeing it on release, maybe once more a few years later. Easily watch it again.

Loved Colombo too, really wanted a 1/24 of his Peugeot, this Hachette et al hardtop was the closest I could find. Great variety in todays Something different, thanks John
