I personally like the Grill.  It looks domineering, like it will just chew up anything that gets in front of it.  It's a mindful sign of a time when chrome and boldness sold.

@georgeschire George, I think if I saw that big '50 Buick face coming up fast in my rear view mirror my thought would be that it could chew me and my car up and not miss a beat.  Christine move over...big brother is here!

Exactly why I said it was domineering.  It has a superior look to it (at least to my eyes) and it gave "Get out of my or I'll gobble you up look" to it.  Interesting thought about the photo you shared of the "junk" Buick.

Back in the summer of 1960 when I was 8 years old, there was an old junk Buick out in a field near where I was living.  It had obviously been there for a long, long time because the weed had grown extremely high around it.

Much of the glass was broken, it was very rusty and when I looked inside of it, it was the first time I'd ever seen mice!  They were literally living and feasting on the interior of the car.  It scared me!  It was sort of like the car was haunted and off limits (at least to me) after that.

I guess Halloween is coming up, but I think sometimes automobiles can occasionally have a "soul", almost all the time a good and happy one. (as can other items and objects perhaps)

Again, I usually feel it's generally good (and can have positive vibes) Ancient traditions, here, elsewhere, and in native American legends, reference objects having a soul or taking on the spirit of it's owner.

And cars can sometimes be that way. Imagine coming across your beloved first car which was apparently long, long gone. But now you are 92 years old and you come across it, VIN number and all, resting quietly out in a field .......

Do you believe in magic ?

@michaeldetorrice I believe that nostalgia can be magic on occasion and that definitely includes examples of cars once owned.

@michaeldetorrice  A Spoonful of magic:

Do you believe there's magic....in the show car park

There's  musical thunder....when those old V-8s start

And it's magic, if the rumble's from duallies

It makes you feel happy man, it's just so groovy

I'll tell you 'bout the magic at the old car show

But it's like tryin' to tell a Gen-X how we used to roll

Do you believe in magic....cruise along with me

We'll go on a 50's run, it's something to see

And maybe...if the weather is right

We'll drop the top and roll along til day becomes night

Yeah we'll go cruisin' baby then you'll see

That the magic is the 50's man....where you wanna be

Yeah....do you believe in magic....yeah

Believe in the magic deep inside your soul

Believe in the music on your old Delco

Believe in the magic it can set you free

Ahhh ....set you free........................

I believe in the magic of turning a Loving Spoonful song into a car parody. Exceptionally well done!
