Those were the days, my friend. I hoped they'd never end. Not quite the song wording but definitely the sentiment.
Loved saving those old window stickers. But gave them to the buyer whenever I sold or traded the car in. Remember when Corvette put the build sticker on the top of the gas tank?. Now there are places to go to get perfect replicas of the window stickers. I have a few of them - Monroney Labels is the best one I found.
...for some of my collector cars, I had dealer invoices & factory receipts. Prior to 1959 - when window stickers became mandatory in the U.S. - that's about all one could get. There's nothing quite like seeing original window stickers on classic cars. 😎 😎 😎
The 79 Lincoln Continental Mark V I sold three years ago had the original window sticker and the Marti report. The car had so many options the window sticker had two pages to list them all.
