but felt it could be improved with some mild bodywork and brighter paint. The background in the original picture detracted a good bit so I neutralized it.

Along with the awesome Merc and Ford coupe, this body style was very popular with hot rodders back in the day

Loved the coupes...not so much the sedans.

@bob-jackman: Me, too, Bob. The two sedan models I like are the 46-48 and 39-40 Fords. The others, not so much.
Probably wouldn't have edited this Mercury except that the color and stance just look good.
