This Chevrolet Biscayne was one of the exceptionally cool General Motors Motorama dream cars. I believe it has been found, rescued and restored. Here, I took a picture of the original automobile and photo-shop moved the headlights out to the sides, to give it perhaps a more mainstream look. The lovely young lady model is the same in both images !
I believe this Motorama car also had twin doors on each side that met in the middle of the automobile. The 1957 Cadillac Brougham I think used such a set up.
Nice work, Mike. Now the headlights look reminiscent of the Olds Golden Rocket.
Speaking of which, I couldn't help thinking that Golden Rocket would have made a neat little sports machine if it wasn't for that ever-so-slightly impractical nose.
There. Another classic concept car screwed up beyond repair. Apologies as ever.
It is a cool looking automobile in general, so it also looks good with the new grille ! Many of the Motorama and dream cars were idea automobiles, so features that may make it to the real world were "production-ized" or made more practical for everyday use.
