It is an appropriate name for this J47 jet-powered land speed record car that is now displayed at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. This is the brochure I got at the Museum many years ago when I viewed it. If you are hungry to pick up a quick snack, this "tricycle" is your car !

It must have been a heck of a ride and what a way to set a world record for Craig. On Lake Conniston waters in GB also in the 1960's, Donald Campell was killed when his speedboat jet-powered hydroplane went airborne and crashed while well above a world-record speed. His dad, of course, drove the giant and powerful Bluebird LSR automobile. Replicas have been done of this mighty car.

Eating your snack while driving this gives a new meaning to “fast food”. Thanks for info.

Quite the tricycle at 38 feet plus and tipping the scales at 7,800 pounds.

Love the Story...Michael, thanks for sharing.
