A good point. I prefer the more dated styling of the Mercury. This fits closer to the time boundary
I have set for my collecting. I prefer the Mercury's paint scheme too over the Oldsmobiles. I've got both covered - maybe.

John, I have collected 1/24th. American Cars. 1930 - 1952ish, Not so many additions these days.

If the Olds was a ninety eight it would be my choice but in this case, the Mercury.

LOL. If I had a sub collection of cars I got lucky in, well, all I can say is that fortunately
I don't collect for volume.

I disregard the color and go by style. Colors can change, the style is what it is.

Good point. But color and either enhance or detract from style. For isntance...
Look how much the color adds to what would normally be considered a fairly plain design. It makes what was once plebian and transforms it into something breathtakingly beautiful.
