The 58. the lights and grill on the 56 look like they belong on a smaller car to me.

Feel the same way about your "glorious " oldsmobiles George.
They are butt ugly from 58 through 60. The 57 is the only one I find attractive. The 61 has an attractive front end but the rear is on a scale of 1-10 a 5. The 62 is good looking and I would be proud to own one. In 63 they got ugly again and stayed that way until 66. The 51 to 56 are 3 on the same scale of 1-10. Different strokes for different folks George!

I like the 56/ 57 but love the 58. The 58 Lincoln is my favorite.

And now after my standing in the corner all day, I've thought a lot about using the word dumb. It was not meant to insult anyone. And I'm sorry if I did. It was just an old expression and I was not around when it got to be so hurtful. As the youngest boy in a family of four boys I got a lot of poundings from my siblings and never got to tattle on them. And now they're to old to pick on. So I just take it out on anyone around. But now look at the results here. How many people voted for the ugly one. Don't tell me you can't even see ugly? Is ugly a dumb word too?

I've no problem with "Different strokes for different folks Dave". But I've had some guys here in the Lounge (and on the 1:24 Forum) take me to task for saying a car is "Butt ugly". However, I feel no personal offense or attack with one using (as you just did) that description of a car.
I'm mature enough and secure within myself to understand that to one man's eyes a car can be drop-dead gorgeous, while to another's eyes the same car can be butt-ugly.
I find it sad when those who don't realize this, get all side-ways when someone doesn't agree with "their" opinion of a car. It isn't about hurting feelings, it's only sharing that we all see every car differently.
Thank you for sharing "your" opinion of Oldsmobile's versus mine.
