DeSoto for me. It has a nice bold look.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The 47 & 48 GM line looked a lot alike - Buick, Olds and Pontiac.
The DeSoto for 47 looks unique and stylish. The Custom Convert gets my vote.
@perrone1 Tony, same for the Chrysler Corp. Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler and Imperial for '47 - '48 all looked the same.

Nice comparison John. DeSoto for me for it's toothy grin.
Yep, gotta go with the DeSoto, more unique. 💯👍
No contest today. I vote for the "waterfall grilled" DeSoto. Love it! Oh what a beautiful DM or FM 1:24 it would have made. The car looks like it could just chew its way through any other car or obstacle in front of it.

Looking the two cars again, the Oldsmobile looks old and stodgy in comparison to the bolder and more modern looking DeSoto. And that color on the Oldsmobile does it NO justice at all.

I like both cars but prefer the bolder face and overall styling of the DeSoto. Its color is perfect as well.
Love that 1947 DeSoto Custom with the waterfall grill. Oldsmobile is nice but is that an original colour option?

According to the 1947 Olds color chart, Caspian blue does not look like the color on the car.

The Pontiac is nice but not as nice as the DeSoto.
