No interest.  Would buy a Ford, Chevy or Buick.

I love those swept-back ponton fenders like the Buick and Caddy had - definitely Olds for me!

Don’ mind both. Like the Mercury grill best. The deciding factor for me.

Both are gorgeous late 1940's automobiles from these manufacturers and I like both of these cars. There was a big change for both of them coming up very soon !

Very nearly a tie again....good choices John!  I give the nod to the Mercury for its drive train and nose/tail end treatment.

Huge and beautiful changes for both for sure.  Just imagine how many '48 Merc owners (Ford too for that matter) were dismayed when they saw the new '49; it made the '48 styling look very dated.

Some perhaps, but many were quite happy and proud of their 1948 Mercury, as were pleased owners and drivers of '48 Oldsmobiles. Sometimes a few people in the current day tend to make it much more of a competition and contest than it really is. If some day we are all forced or required to ride in and maybe be allowed to "pilot" square box-shaped battery powered conveyances, we may have cause to think about being "regulated" by regulators.

Mercury.  I never liked the frowning grille of the Olds.
