The DeSoto is pretty enough, but the Old’s looks so sad that I had to pick it. Plus the fact that I adore the marque!

That DeSoto really IS pretty enough. Makes the Oldsmobobble look lumpy. DeSoto for the win.

I chose the Oldsmobile because to me it looks sleeker. That's what opinions are for! 😉

The Desoto style is beginning to look dated but that tootsie grin is cool.  The olds has nice curves

I prefer the sleeker and more modern styling of the Olds and its drive train by far; in spite of its pout.

I'll go with the pouty Olds as well, but only by a hair.😊

To me the DeSoto is sleeker and the grill more impressive, so it gets my vote.

I just never warmed to MOPAR styling until the mid-fifties. My vote goes to the Olds.

What can I say. That toothy DeSoto grin gets me every time.

Don't care for either one, tie for today. '50 I would have bought the Hudson, but I was not old or rich enough to buy any car in 1950.

Both are beautiful 1950's automobiles and I would delighted to drive either one back them. I have some 1950 Oldsmobile diecast replicas, although I think the closest DeSoto I have for that year is from 1952.

DeSoto is Okay but it won't knock your socks off. The Oldsmobile is a wakeup call for me.

Gents, thanks for your replies.
