Cadillac on top of the world for me. Chrysler next.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Cadillac design by a country mile. The much more sedate Imperial is a firm second and the very unattractive Lincoln is a distant third.
It might take the average younger guy a few seconds to figure out he's looking at a 51 Lincoln or Imperial; let alone a Cosmopolitan or Chrysler Imperial. But he'll know the classic look of that Cadillac. So do I - Look at those wheels, the traditional Dagmars and that sexy sculpted body. Series 62 for me John and thanks for searching out three of a like color! All three are WOW, the Caddy, a little wowwer!
I like the Imperial, then the Caddy. That era Lincoln I just never warmed up to. The Mercury did that bodystyle WAY better.😊
No contest, Cadillac. Lincoln 2nd and Imperial 3rd. The pictures you found are sensational John.
The smooth lines of the Lincoln are what won me over.
Its unusual for me to choice an early Chrysler, but the other choices don't appeal to me,
Not that keen on any of these but the Lincoln’s smooth lines have some appeal.
You couldn't do better than any of these powerful and beautiful automotive dream-mobiles from that year ! I like them all. My Grandfather drove one of these cars from the same generation, and I can still remember it, especially when I examine it's license plate I still have from back then.
Caddy to me looks like it’s hanging on to the fat fender 40s look leaving the cowl and windshield looking too narrow.
The Imperial still has a split windshield and is very plain looking.
The Lincoln lost its wheel well eyebrows and straightened the grille and bumper so it gets my vote today.
