I love both, but it's the Buick for me. What an absolutely elegant bodystyle. JMHO though. 😁💯

They are unmistakable automobiles and would be true eye-catchers on the highway. I like them both, although my Dad got a 1960 Valiant for that year.

@geno

That’s my choice too. That Buick is still beautiful to me. 👍

Not my favorite year of Buick Electra. Too fussy with the giant chrome washboard at the bottom.

Now that "Extravagant", as Ed so wisely puts it, Chrysler New Yorker?? Oh my, I love it. Great grille, awesome in-your-face fins and that color!! WhooEee! Only a masculine, manly man could drive that baby and get away with it.

Chrysler for me John, and hey, by the way, you could pull it off too. Wanna take a drive with me in the New Yorker? Smile

'60 The only full-size Buick I actually like!

'57 to '61 Chrysler s I do not care for the styling.

The Buick is my favorite 1960 car. While the Chrysler is nice, I can't see me owning one. If I had the money, I'd be all over the Buick .

So tough today!  I went with a tie.  The 59 and 60 Buicks along with the first gen Rivieras were my all time favorite Buicks.  BUT, the Chrysler simply can't be ignored, especially in that color.  Tie it is.

I can never quite decide if the '60 Buick is more subtle and sophisticated than the boldly styled '59 or sadly watered-down.

Not the most flattering pic of the Chrysler, makes the front end look surprisingly bulky, but I know from other pics (and models) how appealing it is, with those fins and aggressive grille.

Both nice in their own way but I'd edge towards the more dramatic Chrysler.
